"My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our time at Xinalani. The rooms and public spaces were beautiful. The food was outstanding. The service was kind and attentive. I have been visiting Puerto Vallarta for years but this was the best trip. Being on a secluded private beach and watching all the wildlife was fantastic. The daily yoga class is not to be missed. Nearby is a fun walk to a waterfall, a small town to wander, and a longer hike to other beaches. "

"If you truly want to get away, this is the place. Don’t expect nightlife or very much of a day-life outside hiking to the waterfall or sitting on the beach. For me, that was just enough! "The property is located right above the outcropping that separates the 2 beaches at Yelapa, and the gate is in the main path in town. Great location, and you will enjoy all night the sound of the waves crashing against the rocks 30 feet below the wrap around balcony. The stairway down to the property is in great shape and charming. "We loved this property but recognize the steep walk up and 55 steps down to our room might not be for everyone. It was just fine for us because the only noise was the sound of waves against the rocks below our room. Also, communication was excellent for us due to problems with Expedia but our hostess patient and helpful. The rooftop patio was lovely with great views of the harbour. The apartment was spacious with very comfortable furniture. "

"Wow, I don't even know where to begin. This was the most romantic, amazing hotel my wife have EVER stayed in and we travel a lot. We flew into PV and the hotel arranged a taxi to boca, where a panga was waiting for us. Abbey was our panga driver whenever he needed us (for an extra fee) and he was great. "We went in the summer, super quiet and peaceful and safe. If you like something non commercial this is the place to go. Better if you like animals and speak a little Spanish. And most important bring cash money there are no ATM machines, Lagunita restaurant take credit cards. Very nice place😊"

"Just got back from a great trip. We stayed Sunday to Friday and I truly don’t understand some of the negative reviews. We traveled with our 12 and 15 yr olds and my 60 something year old parents. Everyone loved it. Food was great! I especially liked the Mexican and sushi restaurants. Steakhouse was good too. Drinks were great and their Prosecco was good. I only had buffet the first night when we got there for dinner and I did not care for it for dinner. The buffets were great for breakfast though. Fresh fruit, omelet station, crispy bacon! I also really enjoyed the seafood spot for lunch. The burger truck and outdoor buffet was a great option for when you’re by the pool. Honestly, there isn’t anything I wanted that I couldn’t find. They had spin class and exercise classes in the morning (I watched from my room), my husband said the gym was really nice. Every room has an amazing ocean view. Again, if you have a group that is easily inconvenienced or the grumpy type, they might find something bad in even the nicest hotels. We saw a few of these types while I was there. A husband who would get annoyed because he had to wait for his drink and the wife trying to calm him down. Embarassing really. We really enjoyed the pools, beach was amazing, whale watching every single morning (we saw so many baby whales!), collecting seashells, looking for crabs, visiting all the bars and playing games every night in the family lounge. I was surprised how into the games my kids were."
