"Charming old fashioned hotel on the old Amersham high street. Stayed in a heritage room overlooking the main street. A very enjoyable stay for the weekend especially the Sunday market. "

"A brief stay for one night. Spacious room, nicely equipped. Breakfast service was quite slow and the buffet was certainly lacking options, disappointing considering the price. Pineapple the only fruit, no milk available for cereal, had to ask for it. You have to order toast. Very small sausage on the full English but it was tasty. Would be great if they could have a little more urgency in future."

"Beautiful hotel with amazing grounds, huge room and lots of luxurious touches. The beds were comfortable and the big round bath was something else. Food was excellent and the staff were friendly and professional. The only negatives were when the corporate side of things disturbed the other guests - the braying sales teams taking over the breakfast room with their luggage wasn't ideal, nor the loud wedding planning meeting while we were relaxing in the residents’ lounge. I’m sure there is enough...

"Lovely staff, really accommodating. Went out of their way to help. Breakfast was good. Beautiful building. There wasn't much tea and coffee in the room but they would definitely have given us more if we'd asked. So thank to all the staff for a great stay "

"Pros: - Excellent staff - Delicious breakfast - Bags of character (don't miss Waddesdon Manor) Cons: - Noisy road in front (we asked for rear room, Room 1, which is comfortable but a bit neat sizewise) Small issues: - Shower head broken (could not be attached to riser) but will be fixed - Rear access door below bedroom slammed every time people entered/left but will be fixed Overall, enjoyed our stay and recommended."

"We always stay here when we visit The Harry Potter Studios. The staff are brilliant and friendly. The breakfast is superb in every way. The cleanliness is on point and the leisure activities (mainly the pool for my 6yr old) are a little tired looking (changing rooms); but overall are great. "
