"I took my husband here for a night away for his birthday. The hotel is beautiful, very special with amazing rooms to explore and sit by one of the many fireplaces with a drink. We were allocated a room in the coach house which is closer to the spa but not part of the main building. The room was like staying in my grandmas house, clean but very old fashioned. "A brief stay for one night. Spacious room, nicely equipped. Breakfast service was quite slow and the buffet was certainly lacking options, disappointing considering the price. Pineapple the only fruit, no milk available for cereal, had to ask for it. You have to order toast. Very small sausage on the full English but it was tasty. Would be great if they could have a little more urgency in future."
