I fell in love with it as soon as I arrived, a beautiful resort nestled in the valley between all the beautiful mountain ranges and ski resorts. I was here in the summer so no snow in town but there was already some in the higher up mountains. It was like a postcard out my window. "Very nice resort! Excellent breakfast!! Room was clean and nice except there was no air conditioning and no screen on the French door. The door had to be kept open 24/7 for air, which let in neighbor's smoke and bugs!! Would go back to the new section of the resort."

"Das Falkenstein is on the outskirts of Kaprun, so it would be most helpful to have a car, which I did. It's a traditional Austrian hotel with that style of decor. Everything was super clean, my single room was very comfortable, the WiFi was great, and the breakfast was plentiful (even fresh watermelon), farm fresh eggs (their own chickens, which I "visited" out back!). Free parking right out front with more across the street, where the scenic river rushed by. Staff was very nice and helpful....
