"Food was really good, staff and service other than first day when checked in was good. Room I checked in first was broken down - ac was making noise, bath plug was stuck and it could not come out, staff didn’t come to check waited for an hour. Then went downstairs and was moved to another room which was much nicer. "

"The hotel is close to Derby Train Station and it’s an easy walk into Derby City Centre as well. Only downside was the lift was out off order and it was my wife staying and she has health problems which made it a bit hard fir her to get to her room but apart from that she said she will use the Hitel again. "A beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting. It is an enormous building and can take four minutes to walk from one end to the other, usually up and down a lot of stairs! Didn't realise that rooms are only made up every three days, unless you request otherwise. Disappointing for a four star hotel. Will know in future!"

"We had a private party here and stayed over, it is a great venue and staff here are lovely and really helpful. The hot buffet was really really good, the chef kept bringing more food and replacing dishes when they'd been eaten, really recommend this hotel. Rooms were lovely, quiet and breakfast is of a great standard. "
