"I absolutely loved my 2 night stay here for the Death Valley half-marathon. It was such a curious and cute little hotel, so charming and full of character. Check in went flawlessly, and I appreciated that the heating in the rooms was cranked up because it was winter! The hotel was very quiet and calm and the bed was very comfortable. "We had a pleasant experience at the hotel. People with mobility issues should be warned, the hotel is not ADA friendly. There is a small single elevator but it manages to be a long walk from everything. You won’t be able to tour the garden and getting in and out of the pool area will be a project. That said, the room was clean and comfortable with convenient outlet placement and at least the hotel is back to offering a room refresh each day even if it isn’t full housekeeping. "There are not much options that are reasonable around Death Valley NP. It's about 35 minutes out of the park. It is a old property that looks like it is frozen in time, but it is clean with great staff and a really amazing inexpensive restautant right in the hotel. Get a room with a balcony or patio because the back of the hotel is the real surprise. Amazing to come back from the park and have a beer overlooking it all."
