The Ranch at Death Valley – Inside the Park

2.5 star property
8.2 out of 10, Very Good, (2699)
"The location is of course amazing, right in the heart of Death Valley. And the accommodation is quite nice, up to a good standard. The service is unimpressive. Almost nobody we interacted with seemed enthusiastic to be there, and prices were eye-watering given the product received, even taking the remote location into account. "

"A lot to like about this hotel. Right in the heart of death valley, within walking/hiking distance of a small slot canyon and awesome sand dunes, very friendly staff, ample amenities including restaurant, saloon and stores, fair prices, pet friendly rooms... will definitely come back!"

Stovepipe Wells Village Hotel

3.0 star property

"We paid for a Premium King sized bed and were told a Stovepipe Wells Village Hotel they had not received our reservations from Expedia. They had no record of our 2 night stay. All they had available was a tiny room with a tiny double bed. The room faced the main road. It also had the communal fire pit right outside the door. The room and property was clean. The room was just old, tiny and not what we paid for. We were also told we were the 2nd couple to check in that day that had reservations...

"We came to participate in Death Valley's Dark Sky Festival. David's home was just what we needed: a clean and comfortable place to rest. The house was spacious and suited our needs. It is a modular home. Finding the property wasn't difficult, and as David mentioned, the back of the house faces the street. The kitchen was stocked with the essentials, though I was surprised that there was no actual silverware. I opened all the drawers to my (initial) dismay. There are plastic cutlery available,...

"Lots of space, and good access to Death Valley. Neighborhood is quiet, except for dog barking one night. White noise app on my phone solved that problem. A great value. "
