This is a wonderfully unique experience and we enjoyed the excellent staff and service at the Inn. Those who are here for Death Valley likely know that there are literally no other services/civilization for miles outside of the Inn and the Ranch, but the properties are so well done that everything is easily available at those sites. We dined at every restaurant except the Wildrose Tavern, and had good to great meals each time - the Last Kind Words Saloon was the favorite for dinner, the Inn Dining Room was the favorite for breakfast. The pool and sauna were both very well-maintained and the garden and the stargazer deck are well worth the stroll (especially sunset on the stargazer deck!). We splurged on the casitas which were comfortably furnished, and I personally loved getting around on the included golf cart!

I like the convenience of going all the visiting points and also the surrounding area is very pretty. The staffs are very nice. But the most unpleasant thing happened the night I checked in. Two dead bugs were found on the floor by headboard. I couldn’t sleep due to this and worry about the sanity of the room although the bed sheets are changed. The next morning I found one giant cockroach on the corridor. It is disturbing. The hotel is so pricey but it is not clean. I think this is the most concerning thing for everyone. All we want is a clean room to stay. So I won’t suggest staying at this hotel

Well restored resort reminicent of Hollywood's Golden age, as though we might see movie starts & moguls at any time. Enough modcons to keep today's travelers on track. Literally an oasis in the desert. Would return in a heart beat.

Our room (113) was flat out dingy and dirty and dark. The bathroom looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in ages - literally a cake of dust on everything and a dead spider in plain view next to the hair dryer that had clearly been there for a good while. I wore flip flops in the shower because it was so gross. Even after requesting that housekeeping come and clean the bathroom, all we got were clean towels. Choices of accommodation are scarce here but for a place that calls itself a luxury hotel, this is a three star at best. Pros - the pool is very nice, most of the staff are well meaning and the food is good. Cons - the common areas are tired and need updating. The bar and restaurant close at 9 pm. And as previously mentioned, the room was flat out gross

This is truly an oasis in the valley. This is the place to stay to get a sense of the history of this area and have easy access to all the sites. I would recommend the casitas as they are very private and have a back patio backed up to a stream with beautiful landscaping. They also provide a golf cart to get around the property. The Casita was beautiful, cozy and the bed was very comfortable. Right down the way is the pool and the gym. The only issue with this place is the kitchen service is lacking severely and there are limited places to eat in this area. The service staff is awesome but they get short changed by a kitchen that needs a reboot especially at the prices they are charging. We would stay here again but would want a reassurance that they got this box checked. Awesome stay otherwise and highly recommended.

Great hotel overall. The casitas are amazing and very cool to have the golf buggy. The pool area is lovely and just what is needed when it’s super hot. It’s a true oasis as per the photos. However the staff were not the friendliest. The receptionist was strangely unwelcoming when we arrived late at night, the staff in the restaurant for breakfast were surly and and borderline rude. They charge extra for many items at breakfast including good coffee - something I hate when you have paid hundreds for a room. The hotel is 4/5 star but the staff are two star at best.

When we arrived at the hotel, the welcome was top-notch... until we were assigned a room which was standing along a corridor with an unbearable sewer/urine stench. When we returned after dinner, the bad smell was still there, and in our room too. We called reception to alert them and their solution was to spray perfume in the room which vanished after a few minutes. We had to sleep the whole night with the smell in our room.

Hôtel correct but worst restaurant
The hotel is correct. The A/C is very noisy. The main drawback is the restaurant. Very expensive and bad quality food. This hotel or their sister hotel provide very bad quality food in their restaurant. We had to go to the next village in the valley to get a good meal at a reasonable price.
