"An aging property going under refurbishment. We stayed in a pet friendly large upgraded room, with a view of the front garden. The hotel is set back from the main road, so very peaceful. Within a 10 min walk of the city, so an excellent location. We thought the price per night on a BH weekend was competitive, which included a good breakfast and free parking, which many of the other hotels charge for, these days. Very welcoming and friendly staff."

"I was just wanting a little break by the sea. Found this hotel. What a find. Right on the sea front. Was given a free upfrade to a suite. I was so happy with the room. It was spotless. Bathroom was gleamingly clean. Bed was very comfortable and perfect crisp bedding. The view from the window over sea and pier. Had a drink in the bar, and staff were absolutely lovely all round. The bar offered a variety of meals. Breakfast had a complete range including a full english. Location to the sea front is obvious, but its also a great location to the high street shops. I only realised the hotel was busy at breakfast seeing other guests, as i didnt hear anything from others when in my room. The staff were friendly and helpful and i would love to stay here again. "
