"Check in was easy, although they do charge $25 if you want to check in early. The exterior of the building is very old and run down (it could use an update) the inside was a lot bigger than I expected. The rooms were ok. The staff were friendly. The location is great. A five minute walk (max) from the Amtrak station. Lots of food options, along with Plank right across the street. I only needed to stay one night, and it was fine. My only complaint was someone kept banging on the walls and making the entire room shake. I guess they either left or fell asleep, When it got late it was very quiet."

"I have been staying at this hotel for 20 years.Right by the Bay Bridge so easy into SF. Berkeley and Oakland nearby for all the excellent restaurants. Good service, comfy beds, restaurant and breakfast in-house. "
