"The hosts were excellent - very welcoming and went the extra mile for our kids when they asked to pat the dog or for a hot chocolate at breakfast time. The five-o-clock wine time was a lovely chance to chat with other guests from around the world. Very convenient location. Only downside is that it's an older building so the noise from Christchurch's boy racers can be irritating at night. A minor problem. We would definitely stay again."

"Excellent location. Close to Bus interchange, so you have short walk to hotel from the bus 29 you can catch from airport, Cathedral square, central city shopping, river bank cafes and market are all very short walk from the hotel. Room is on the small size but beds are comfortable and room is clean. Think that they just need maybe 2 chairs for double room, not one. Christchurch is beautiful, walkable city and we didn't spend much time in the room anyway, so for short stays is perfect. "
