Burgh Island Hotel

4.5 star property
9.6 out of 10, Exceptional, (91)
"It's a truly unique location... being cut off by the tide twice a day on your own island. It's stunning. The attention to Art Deco is remarkable. It was spotlessly clean. The service is relaxed not over the top. The food was really good, not superb and perhaps not quite worth the price, but I get that you're paying for the location as much as anything. Love that the rooms don't have TVs to be authentic to the period. It's fun having the 4x4 transfer over the beach or the sea tractor...

Beachside Property - Serene Sea Side View

"Check in process could be better, the company does not communicate via VRBO, and sent check in info only thirty minutes before check in time. Other than that, the place is great for families and the location is excellent for a beach vacation. All appliances worked and bathrooms and bedrooms were comfortable. Would recommend it again"

"We have been visiting this house for many years and we are still excited as we arrive in Bigbury-on-Sea. The house is always clean with tasteful seaside themed decoration. The tea and scones are very welcome on arrival. You couldnt ask for more. "

"Really good location for the beach and walks. The bed was not as comfy as at home, but that's probably just us. Well stocked kitchen and books/dvd's available. Perhaps a little tired and in need of a lick of paint in places. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay."
