It's great for surfing and visiting Bigbury/Burgh Island. Salcombe is a short drive and there are many National Trust places to visit. Note that the drive down to the property is a typical road to the coast (e.g. steep and narrow)."

"We booked the property to celebrate a family birthday. The house has everything you would need. It is tastefully furnished but at the same time very practical. Very cozy, spacious and comfortable. Plenty of space for everyone. We had a great time exploring the local area, although we know Devon quite well anyway, its always nice to experience different areas. "

"I’ve been going to the south hams for decades and we were visiting family for a long weekend. We decided to stay at stancombe farm as we wanted the flexibility of eating in and out. Our accomodation was really well equipped and we cooked a few times and had everything we needed. Microwave, Nespresso, dishwasher. The cupboards had all the little items you often need salt, pepper, vinegar. Location wise just above Chillington. A real credit to the owner. We will be back."

"The property was very clean and well equipped, unfortunately we ran into a few problems. Check in day revealed television problems , the next day a tv expert found a cut antenna wire. We had to turn on the heat for the towel rails, We never had evening or morning heating."

"The cottage is very well situated for easy access to Kingsbridge on foot and on the flat too. It's very well appointed, we didn't really want for anything. It's warm and cosy, bed was incredibly comfortable, kitchen has everything you'd reasonably need. Car parking in an allocated slot 3 minutes walk from the cottage and no problems there. Staircase is a little steep with 3 or 4 steps at the bottom so that is something to consider if you're less mobile. But otherwise - we really enjoyed our...

"Croak cottage is a home away from home. Beautifully presented and every detail thought about. The garden is fantastic for a family, with access to the esturary we were able to paddleboard every day, and drying everything out was so easy afterwards. The views are stunning too. "
