"I had to replace room keys twice as they won't open the door, finally, I was changed to another bedroom. Staff looked like overwhelmed. I paid for breakfast at the restaurant, it was not bad, but expensive for the quality and variety of food."

"Such great value for money. Great location: 15 min fast walk to Pria do Pepe beach via the fun Av Olegario and 10 dollar uber ride to ipanema). Pria do Joatinga is very close and one of Rios hidden, tiny gems. Marilia was wonderful and speaks great Spanish. Cristina at the pool bar makes the best Caipirinhas I have tasted (I lived in Rio for 6 months many years ago). Reasonably priced drinks and meals, and the terrace and pool with amazing views over Barra is a perfect place to hide from Rios...

"I had an amazing stay at Ibiza Barra Hotel. Nobody spoke any English and I don't speak any Portuguese, so there was definitely a language barrier, but all of the staff were so amazing and so patient while I tried to translate. Particularly Ezequiel was amazing, he was very friendly and helpful and we were sad to have to say goodbye. If I ever visit Barra again I will be looking to book here!"
