"This was a pleasant surprise in terms of service. All of the staff was cordial, and Luan at the front desk went above and beyond to help me out several times. On Luan's excellent recommendation, I took a great " Best of Rio" tour. The neighborhood is very safe, so no worries there. I also enjoyed the breakfast every morning. Another big plus is the generous space allocated for the use of guests outside the rooms. I would definitely stay at Villa 25 again in the future. Muito obrigada!"

"I had a tiny private room with an even tinier bathroom. Had I known how small and bare bones my accommodation would be I probably wouldn't have selected it for a 5 day stay. However, it was clean and within walking distance of the beach and other landmarks."

"My stay at El Misti was superb!! I stayed in a private room during 7-13 November. It was my first time in Rio, and this was the perfect place to meet people!! They organise lots of events, and having easy access to the beach with a ticket for a free chair is an addes bonus! I can definitely recommend El Misti to others, and will likely stay here (or at least visit the amazing bar during happy hour!!) when I return, muito obrigado El Misti!! Tom"

"I really enjoyed my one-week stay at Aquarele do Leme. The staff is great: super helpful and friendly. Even the owner, Thibault, is very nice and accessible. The terrace is the best. I enjoyed my coffee up there every morning. The breakfast included eggs, fresh tomatoes and cucumbers and assorted fruits, plus all of the normal stuff. "Wayyyyyy too much going on there. I ended up booking another hotel. It may have been because it was NYE weekend. I will shout out the manager. She was extremely nice and helpful. I really commend her for handling everything. She definitely deserves a raise!! "

"Wonderful staff. The place itself is very well located, but the bunkers are not very solid and are made from light wood (I was on the top one and all night waking up because every time the guest underneath me moved, the whole bed moved too). The communal shower is also very tight. Overall, budget friendly for backpackers who don't mind a certain degree of discomfort "

"Very modern and beautiful property, fantastic location with beautiful ocean view. The bedroom was not the street side so it’s nice and quiet. We had a little difficult time at checking in since the front desk didn’t speak English, but we had a local friend helped us. "

"Place was up to date, well maintained. It was far from the beaches where I usually stay. But I didn’t plan on any beaches my 3 days I spent here. Only complaint is my room had an awesome view of the lake but, there was a loose manhole cover in the road that I heard cars hitting all night. I couldn’t figure out where the noise was coming from until my last night. Not hotels fault but lost a lot of sleep from it. Overall hotel was great."

"I loved my stay here. Because it’s high season, we didn’t get to extend our stay but Mayra and the staff were so helpful. They let us use the hospitality room to wash up after the beach. And they let us keep our luggage for a few hours because our flight was in the evening. The breakfast was super good and the staff were very nice and kind. Jonatan was also very nice, always saying hi and asking us if we needed anything. Everyone in the reception area was helpful. I needed to print something and they helped me with the matter. The room was kept clean and house keeping was great! Overall I think it’s an excellent hotel. I wished the pool was bigger but there’s a beach right across the street so that’s not a problem. I will definitely stay here again and I’m so happy I picked this property. It’s also centered where there’s restaurants and establishments all around. I will suggest to book the breakfast because it was so good and worth it (in my opinion). Honorable mention to Mayra who checked us in and was very helpful and pleasant. Also to Jonatan. Marcos helped us with our luggage and he was nice as well. Stay here for a pleasant experience! "
