"The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The front desk was super helpful…. The breakfast was great. The one negative was the shower stall. I do expect to take a show without hurting myself. The stall was simply too small, I can’t turn around without turn off or turning the water too hot. It was smaller than the ones on cruise ships. "I was allocated a room on the 11th floor so the view from My bedroom window of the city was amazing, even at night as all the street lights came on. The location of the Hotel was ideal for Me as it meant I was able to walk to the Basel football shopping centre in 15 minutes and to the Rhine river and hills which surround the city. "The location of the East-West Riverside is amazing. Very convenient to many of Basel's tourist areas and has beautiful views of the river. "The ambiance and indoor was really great and friendly staff. Only thing which we suffered with was extremely hot indoors. We asked for air conditioning which was apparently not possible when the building heating is on. It was really hard for us to sleep as we were boiling hot. The kind staff helped us open window (which we could not by ourselves since the city bylaw does not allow people to open windows). but that did not help"
