"Lisbon was our last stop after being in Portugal for 10 days. Although our stay at Esqina was fine, it was not as cozy as I was hoping it would be. I can't ding them on ratings, and I haven't stayed in other hotels in Lisbon, but it didn't feel like a 4 star hotel based on other places I've stayed in Europe. The bathroom was tiny and the lighting was odd. It felt more like a basic travel lodge, versus a cosmopolitan hotel. With that said, the location was great, breakfast was good. "

"Nice enough hotel generally. The room was large and the bed was comfy. The shower was a bit outdated and only had a single all-in-one shower gel provided. Minimal toilet paper provided which wasn't topped up after the first day. Not much in the area apart from a few shops, so would have to travel on the underground to visit a bar or restaurant (there was a small Italian restaurant and a pizzeria takeaway nearby though). Hotel bar was open until 1am. A few people on laptops there - I guess...

"The hotel is very central on the Rua Augusta which is what we wanted. It’s on a pedestrianised street full of shops, restaurants and bakeries. It’s a 5 minute walk to the Arco da Rua Augusta and Praça do Comercio. Easy to catch a tram to Belem Tower and Jeroniomos Monastery. We walked to all other tourist attractions in about 30 mins , but we like that. Excellent little hotel!! "

"The hotel is in a great location next to square, restaurants and shops. If you get a room facing the courtyard or Sketchers it can be a bit noisy on the weekends but it usually stops 11pm.
