"Hotel Convento do Salvador was excellent. Particularly the front desk staff in demeanour and presentation. Complimentary coffee and water in reception area, soaps and hand cream amenities were good quality, the variety of breakfast menu items was excellent. The rooms were clean. That they opened on to a central courtyard was lovely. "

"Our stay at Dalma old town Suits was exceptional! The service was truly amazing. The staff are very friendly and accommodaing. They went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and treated us like family. Our room was amazing. The views were incredible and the bed so comfortable. There is a restaurant attached with delicious food and a friendly manager as well. The location is great. Close to many miradouros and bars/restaurants. Also, just steps from castle de sao Jorge. I would stay here again in a heart beat!"

"The area is not walkable, the hotel is located at the top of a hill but the views are gorgeous, though. The hotel should warn guests that Uber can't get to the hotel due to local regulations and should advise guests to have a taxi instead. I was dropped off some 200 yarda and had to walk uphill with all my and my wife's luggage. But after this little incident, everything was smooth, Luis at the front desk was very helpful with reservations and calling taxis for me. The hotel room was very spacious and luxurious. Overall, a great stay."

"Hostel like stay but rooms are mostly private. Bathroom facilities and seating are everything you need for your trip. I am not picky but was grateful considering the budget, being on a solo trip, and the friendly staff."
