"Hotel Convento do Salvador was excellent. Particularly the front desk staff in demeanour and presentation. Complimentary coffee and water in reception area, soaps and hand cream amenities were good quality, the variety of breakfast menu items was excellent. The rooms were clean. That they opened on to a central courtyard was lovely. "

"Beautiful apartment in a perfect location. Mini markets [including a whole food vegan shop] and a tiny, but very cool bar, within 50 m. Clean and well equipped, comfy bed. Good communication, couldn't be better!"

Recommended for visitors who prefer unique, personal space over routine more expensive hotels. Hosts are very friendly, available and cheerful. Joao is particularly welcoming and helpful."

"The apartment was well appointed and clean with an outdooor seating area to enjoy a meal or glass of wine. The view is spectacular. The washer was a huge benefit as we didn't have to pack as heavy. We would definitely stay here again, great spot."
