"So thrilled to have found this little gem. Needed an overnight stay near Monmouth, we stayed on Boxing Day evening, with our dog. Beautiful room , We ate in the bar, food first class. I imagine we will pay another visit if in the area. "

"This was our first time staying in a Mercure. The location was ideal for us, close to the centre but not too busy and more reasonable price. The lounge and bar downstairs was lovely. Nice Christmas decorations too. Check in was easy and efficient. Room was great, very clean, everything we needed. The layout, tv and bathroom felt more modern and slightly more high end compared to a Premier Inn. We will definitely stay at a Mercure again!"

"Natalie was extremely helpful when we arrived. She didn't realise we had a dog but changed our room and our dog got a welcome pack which was a lovely touch... the hotel itself had a great vibe to it which is what i needed as i was visiting my sick daughter at the university hospital of Wales. Great breakfast. Good night sleep... Will definitely stay again. Thank you to Natalie for going above and beyond. "

"I stayed at TY Newport as TY Magor had closed for the Christmas holiday, this wasn’t a problem they gave me plenty of notice telling me I was being transferred to TY Newport the staff there was very friendly and helpful and the hotel I know is new but still very nice place to stay,I will be returning to this hotel if the prices are right."

"Staff were brilliant, had an issue with our room door as it wouldn’t open, staff were on it and got it fixed straight away, even complimented me with a couple of free drinks for the inconvenience"
