"Lovely big room and super comfy bed. The lady at breakfast (Sarah?) was so kind, thoughtful and helpful. Deserves a mention as some people hate their jobs and are miserable; she was so wonderful. Medium black stain on the carpet is my only negative comment; and didn't ruin my stay!"

"My mum and I had a lovely stay at Ardoe! Our room was great, and we enjoyed drinks in the drawing room; the bartender was brilliant. Our meal was also fantastic, highly recommend treating yourself in their restaurant although they do also have bar meals. The only downside is that the swimming pool hosts so many lessons and also seems to attract a lot of local families, so we didn't have many opportunities to use the pool. "We enjoyed our three day break at Nethybridge very much in this fine old hotel. Even though it’s looking a bit tired in places, it makes up for any shortcomings with bags of character and first class, friendly and professional staff. The room and bathroom were really spacious and comfortable and the buffet breakfast caters for all tastes and is delicious. "The lodge is set in a very scenic setting next to Lock Aboyne and woodlands which you can walk around. The property itself owned and run by a lovely couple who pretty much seem to do everything themselves. The decor is dated and old fashioned but if you like golf this is a great option as the course setting is fabulous …it’s a 9 hole set over a huge expanse with inclines and some difficult hazards.
