My only issue was the Wifi. Besides that is a very nice place. The staff I dealt with Jane, Oscar, Alfie, Jamie and Carol were all helpful and great to talk to. The whisky bar is the best I've ever seen.
Fantastic place to stay!! Room were very comfortable and quiet. The restaurant and bar were amazing; great food and great service. The whiskey bar was also fun and Oscar was very informative. Definitely stay here when visiting Speyside. We look forward to returning.
The hotel is lovely, however there are many things lacking. Service at the dining room was very bad. The breakfast orders took over 45 minutes to arrive.
The attitude of the staff was insulting. There is no elevator.
In the heart of Speyside and a short drive from multiple renowned distilleries, there is no better place to stay if you are on a whiskey tour with friends. Everything from the whiskey bar to the breakfast were excellent and we would definitely visit againz

Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
Waited 50 minutes for our main meal on our first night in the dinning room. Front desk staff quite abrupt and rarely looked up from the computer to even acknowledging you.
This is an older property. If you have a lot of luggage this is certainly not the easiest for you. There was no porter on duty and getting your luggage in and out of the property was difficult and plenty of stairs to climb.

Restaurant was very nice but everything was a struggle when it came to getting the bill. Not very prompt service. Other than that, stay was nice!!
This hotel is very understaffed and in poor repair. The restaurant has wonderful food and looks great, but the staffing is incredibly poor. We waited quite a while for someone to check us into our room. Not sure whether they’re over-booking or under-trained or what. The chef is quite good. My friend had Covid and was confined to the room, and they simply wouldn’t put a tray together for me to take to her.
Our room was furnished with pieces that were very scratched. I appreciate antiques, but that’s not what this was. The bathroom doorknob came off in my hand. The common room is lovely, but the door was closed while we were there. There are no grounds at all. Aberlour is very close, but there is very little in Craigellachie.
My partner and I traveled around Scotland by car for 10 days. This was by far our favorite hotel that we stayed in. The hotel is quaint and had so much charm. From the moment you walk in you feel like you are at a quiet, country home. There is a very large reading room on the entry level floor which is well stocked with books and lots of seating. Check in was easy.
We ate dinner in the Spey Inn restaurant which is located onsite downstairs from the hotel. The food was wonderful. Service was nice and we didn’t feel rushed during our meal.
Outside from the hotel, there is a small path from the parking lot that leads down to a trail which flows around to an old bridge with a history marker. We passed plenty of locals who were out for their morning walks.
Our room was super cute with plenty of space and a nice sized bathroom. It was clean and comfy.
There were menu options available for breakfast which was included with our stay.
If we are every back in Scotland we will definitely stay here again and were sad that we were only in the area for 1 night.
We booked a morning tour at Glenfiddich which is just down the road from the hotel. Highly recommend.
The world class whiskey bar (over 800 bottles) alone, hosted by a truly knowledgeable somm, made the stay memorable. Overwhelmed, slow dinner service and somewhat dated areas lost a star for us.
