"The staff were great and doing their best, but the place is just rundown and not well-maintained. Our air conditioning unit wasn’t working so they moved us rooms and the second one wasn’t working very well either. The pool and pool bar area are wonderful and right on the beach, but they close at 6 PM- really don’t understand that when it’s one of the nicest aspects of the place. Our goal was to visit the Knossos palace and catch our morning ferry- if we had to do it again, we would stay in...

"Overall, we had a pleasant stay. The first room were given on arrival late at night was terrible. It was damp and full of flies. We insisted on a move and this was arranged. That room (612) should not be given to guests! The hotel is not a five star, especially when compared to the standard you get in the far / middle east, US, and other parts of Europe. The staff were very friendly, helpful and tried their best. A few simple changes would make a stay better - eg a golf buggy type of transport...
