"We had the most wonderful stay in this beautifully renovated house nestled in a peaceful valley in the Mesara Plain. Surrounded by orange groves and with the majestic Psiloritis mountains in the distance, it truly felt like a hidden gem.The house is very comfortable and clean, has everything you need, with tasteful design touches like stone arches that echo the heritage of old Greek architecture. It’s located right at the edge of a small, authentic village, just a couple of minutes’ walk from the center where we found cozy cafés and some amazing local tavernas.The beach is only a short drive away, but we loved how serene and quiet the area was—ideal for a couple's getaway. The nearby old church adds a peaceful, timeless feel to the whole setting. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay—relaxing, beautiful, and full of authentic Cretan atmosphere.Highly recommended for anyone looking for a romantic escape or a quiet retreat in southern Crete!"

"We spent a week here and went out everyday sightseeing and to different beaches, with lots of walks! Kamilari has a nice feeling about it, very friendly locals, some great Tavernas and a very well stocked supermarket. Not forgetting The Blues bar for cocktails! Vangelis and Tanya are really lovely people and the house was perfect Tanya even made me a birthday cake for my 60th!!"

"We found this to be a wonderful rental and we would stay there again happily. It felt like home and is tastefully decorated. The setting is quiet and ideally located for exploring the village on foot and for driving to beaches and historical attractions in the area as well as larger neighboring towns. We found the people in the village to be friendly every thing we needed nearby. We could tell that this is a well loved house, more than that, a home, and it felt like home to us. "High design: white with wood accents. Very private. Super clean. Amazing view. Kitchen was fully equipped. AC worked great and was very quiet. Operating the TV, though, was over my pay grade. Alexandra, our hostess, was terrific. Getting around the village is complicated. Waze and Google maps both failed me due to construction road closures."
