"Affordable but strict on checkin times. Also, room had a skylight that could not be closed off from light (looks like the remote control batteries were dead and we didn’t want to bother with it after we were in bed)."

"Excellent friendly welcome at reception. Clean comfortable room. Really appreciated the free laundry on site inc free washing powder, a nice touch. Menu seemed overpriced for dinner, probably typical of high end hotels. Breakfast on day one was fine, day two a different story. No sour dough bread, Mexican beans were luke warm poached eggs took an age to arrive and when they did eventually arrive, they were cooked solid. Not sure what to say about a 5 star hotel that can’t get eggs right….."

"Great place to stay while in Christchurch! Staff is friendly and very responsive. Accidentally left an item in the room - got in touch with the hotel and they got everything lined up for me to get it picked up and followed up multiple times to make sure everything was good. The rooms are clean, well maintained, and the hotel is conveniently located close to the Riverside Market, and other attractions. "
