"Amazing 2 nights in Cardiff. I was looking for a place away from the hustle and bustle of the city and found this hotel not far from Cardiff bay. Photo included is the maple pecan pie desert, and I can say I had about 3 portions - it’s that delicious :)"

"Hotel entrance is on Queen Street, a pedestrian shopping area. Close to the castle, National Museum, and stadium. Lots of walkable restaurants. "

"The hotel staff were kind and helpful. We paid extra to bring our dog. The dog was allowed in the bar area which was good as it meant we could have a drink as dog could not be left on her own in room. There was lots of parking including electric chargers. The parking was £10 for 24 hours. All in all a good stay and would recommend the hotel. "

"What more can I say! They surpassed our expectations, and we had a beautiful and warm welcome. After having shared a personal story and meeting with the General Manager Damien, our love for the Parkgate has just grown. Richard (Guest Services) has checked us in on many occasions, and he is such a lovely man, always helpful and caring. We had a lovely few hours in the bar, enjoying a few drinks, and a great selection of non alcoholic drinks, which I really appreciate. Live music was lovely, although we didn't hear much of it due to the loud wedding party, but it was fine (besides who doesn't love a wedding). I always forget to take note of the housekeeping staff, but the rooms are cleaned to a verg high standard. They do a wonderful job and really pay attention to details. Thank you all "
