"Absolutely stunning"

"It was in a good central location in easy walking distance of Shifnal if you wanted to eat elsewhere. We had a room in one of the cottages which was very nice and quiet, as it was away from the main function rooms in the hotel. The only issue was that the shower did not fully heat up as the shower thermostat wasn't functioning correctly. They offered us another room to move to, but as the water for the bath and sink was nice and hot we chose not to move. It was a good base for visiting...

"The Moat House was a revelation, I was expecting high quality but it was better than that, literally everything was perfect. The room, view, staff, food, even to the extent that the biscuits in my room were gluten-free! (I had told them in advance I couldn’t have gluten but only expected this to be noted at breakfast!) I normally find something lacking in a hotel, but not this time. Thank you to all the staff, I’ll be back! 😊"

"We had a very good welcome when we arrived late due to a wedding we were attending. Quick and efficient check-in. Rooms were generally good, although the shower had signs of orange bacteria and some black mould on the ceiling. The bottom of the shower door and sealant around it was tatty and looked dirty, so much so that I didn’t want to use it. "Lovely hotel, super great sized room. First night was really wonderful only drawback on Friday night quite a lot of noise from the nearby disco/club until after midnight. Breakfast wonderful."

"Friendly front of house staff, rooms clean but the bedrooms need an upgrade and so do the communal areas. Bathrooms renovated and very clean. Breakfast was pretty good. Excellent location. VERY hot! central heating on full blast. Would return for a one night stay."
