It was very convenient being adjacent to Mistico Arenal Hanging Bridges Park. There are no restaurants at the Lodge but the neighboring hotel has a very nice restaurant which is just a very short drive down the hill. "Staying at the Monteverde Lodge was one of the highlights of our CR trip. The setting with the jungle/window outside the property was tranquil. The food is amazing! Everything was presented beautifully. They set us up on several awesome tours with Rafael and we saw lots of wildlife we would never see on our own. The gardens and trails are gorgeous. We even saw a pack of capuchin monkeys climbing over the roof when we left. The staff did everything possible to ensure an excellent stay."

"We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment at the back of the property on the second floor. The room was updated and clean. Walking distance to restaurants. It is attached to a convenience store for beer, snacks and alcohol. Pool was clean. Also has a whole bar area that you can leverage by the pool. Property can be a little noisy in the morning when everyone is going to work since it is located directly on the main road to La Fortuna."

"This was such a gem of a place! The view was absolutely amazing - you could see down the valley, and then all the way to the ocean. The room was clean and spacious, with floor to ceiling windows on three sides. It's such a quiet area and I was happy that we were up high (even though the hills are steep!) rather than in the center of town, which seemed very busy, with lots of hotels and restaurants and stores packed in tightly. The views are amazing, but the best part of the hotel is the family...

"Beautiful unobstructed view of Arenal Volcano! Secluded away from all the crowds, yet could access the hot springs at Los Lagos while staying here. Private hot tub and rain shower were also great perks!"

"Wonderful experience. The rooms are all along a steep hill and have great views. We were given Room 28 Premium King bed which is close to the top of the hill and the views were stunning. The hotel has a number of golf carts and someone can take you up there if you need help. The grounds are beautiful and there are trails behind the property which lead to the Aguti reserve to which the hotel provides free admission.
