"Our room was on 3nd floor but opposite side to the Cathedral. Was wakened up with lorries unloading on our side of the building. Great pity. The showers required updating as difficult to control water temperature "

"Beds were comfortable and the room was well furnished, clean and pleasant. It would have been nice to have decaffeinated tea bags available, as my partner doesn't drink caffeine. But the big disappointment is having to pay for car parking even overnight. We noted that many car parks in Winchester were free on Sundays. I did know about this prior to booking. Also taking a £50 deposit showed a lack of trust in customers. I think the car parking charges are unpopular with the hotel's customers."

"Lovely hotel. Staff were so friendly. 2 small gripes; I expected a more modern TV to be able to cast to, sink in the bathroom was completely blocked and wouldn't drain at all. Other than that, great stay."

"Location of hotel is lovely. Great for exploring Hayling Island and nearby area. Condition of the hotel is a little tired but we understand that an updating programme is in progress. Rooms were a good size and well equipped. Bathrooms could do with updating. Staff were fantastic - could not do enough to help. "

"Comfortable hotel in the town centre. Nice and easy access in to free carpark with plenty of space. A rear entrance directly from the carpark takes you to the foyer and reception. The hotel is an old manor building with a lot of charm. The bedrooms are well equipped and in good condition though in a traditional style. As a family of four, we asked for two extra beds for the kids and we were given two single foldable beds, which were quite comfortable and better than a double sofa bed. There...

"Well positioned hotel, as a 15 min walk to gunwarf quays. Pool and steam an added bonus. Didn't have breakfast so can't comment. The hotel kindly gave us a permit to park the car on the road as the car park was full at times. Room clean and comfortable bed. Very warm amd aircon not working. It was late when we returned to the room so I didnt wish to change rooms as offered. Was given a fan quickly. "

"Nice property stayed a few times, keycard didn’t work and then when in the room and the key holder for lights fell off! No restaurant open as a Sunday only the pub style bar. But comfy and clean."
