Stay here regularly, did not like this room, no phone signal, WiFi signal very weak and only when at the desk near the door, also near area outside where bins are or laundry stored, bins/laundry carts moved very early and late at night, too noisy

We had a fantastic two-night stay in October 2024. Our room was spacious with a really comfy bed. Breakfast and dinner in the restaurant were both great and all staff very friendly - particularly Debbie on reception. Some decor and furniture a little tired but everything was kept very clean.

We did not use the facilities or eat at the hotel. When we arrived in the late evening the receptionist was very welcoming, asked us about our day and checked that we had everything we needed. The upgraded room was very spacious and very clean. The bed was very comfortable with quality linen and we had a very good nights sleep.

I was disapointed that the breakfast was £24 per person because we did not book directly with the hotel. We were attending a funeral locally and used a 3rd party for ease. The room was quite dated although comfortable, my biggest complaint was that there were no plug sockets near the bed and no usb ports for charging in the room at all. there was a faint stale smell to the room (214). We did enjoy dinner in the restaurant and special shout out to Tiger Lily our server, very helpful and knowledgeable about the food. she is a credit to your team.

Spa and gym facilites were good although I didnt use them. Room was a bit dated and could do with maintenance. No socket to plug in mobile charger without plug. TV remote was old and you had to press teletext button to change channel. TV was actually quite new.

MY Stay was great, it was for work so I didn't get to enjoy all the many facilities however lack of plug sockets in the room and WIFI and phone connections were poor it meant I couldn't work privately in my room. Also I was disappointed in the menu choices and cost £22 for a Burger and fries would have been acceptable if it was a locally produced prime cut with homemade chips but alas it wasn't. also no salad or accompaniment's. £7.00 for a dash of lime cordial and soda water was also very pricy. Otherwise it was so lovely and all the staff were so kind and welcoming.

There is no way this is 4*. Threadbare carpet in the bar, pub menu food, corridors and rooms need updating, trays of food not picked up, the pool area looked like a bomb had gone off with cups, towels and discarded spa slippers laying around. The reception area is very nice, but it's lipstick pn a pig. 3* at best!
