"I’ve stayed here before when visiting a family member. Great central location and lovely clean comfortable room. Will say that the public toilets on the ground floor weren’t so clean. We didn’t eat in the restaurant, preferring to try the local restaurants of which there are lots within easy walking distance. New St station a 5 minute walk and shopping and Christmas markets a 10 minute walk away. I would stay here again. The staff on reception are always polite and very helpful. "

"Very good hotel and staff, let down by attention to detail. TV system needed the channel list updating and fixing - BBC1 was on channel 2 and named "BBC 2" and vice versa. Neither channel presented EPG information. Other channels were out-dated. No directions to restaurant/bar/breakfast - you had to know the name of the restaurant/bar to be able to find them - and "50 The Street" isn't obvious! Sent an email inviting me to check-out online, but every effort to do so was met with a error about...

"Lovely hotel with facilities in room and in the general Communal areas as you would expect for a hotel of this branding. Excellent quality and selection of food options for breakfast. I’m gluten free and options were available but had to ask for these which is pretty standard of most hotels. The only thing that let our stay down was our ‘executive room’ looked out onto a roof and pipes, not great when paid more for a ‘better’ room but in the grand scheme of things wasn’t that big of a deal. "Comfy bed, nice shower. Good food. Well kept. But the best bit has got to be the staff. Every single one of them was outstandingly friendly, helpful and welcoming. It made me want to stay longer. Anyone you walked past would brightly acknowledge you which made the stay lovely "
