Not so good was the staircase leading up to the rooms, which was steep, winding and with narrow steps. I appreciate this is a period property and it worked for me; however, those with mobility issues may struggle even with staff assistance. "Really lovely property and great evening staff offering a really warm welcome. The morning staff didn't seem quite as enthusiastic but maybe that was just the time of day!? The facilities lose a star because the breakfast is not included and can be very expensive if you include a couple of coffees, orange juice, cereal and cooked breakfast. Great stay overall though."

"Super stay - high quality furnished room, and quiet late on, despite the vibrant atmosphere at the adjoining pub. Only thing I could perhaps find fault with would be the high tog rating for the duvet (which made for a rather warm night !)"
