We were a bit disappointed though we came back to the hotel for a drink in the bar,i went upstairs to change my shoe's my husband phoned me and said fetch the card down he tried to pay for drinks with cash and was told it was card payment only,I don't think that is fair I think it should be both options, my husband doesn't carry his card so if i hadn't been there i don't know what would have happened. "The hotel and staff were superb, our stay was hassle free and convenient, without any issues. The breakfast was superb and the hotel rooms are comfortable and well equipped. Our one gripe, which was outside the hotel was the guests were reluctant to pick up their dogs mess in the field to the left of the hotel. Perhaps a sign reminding guests of their responsibilities and a possible fine might help. The field was full of dog waste, can't be pleasant in the summer for guests/children."

"Hotel is set on a 650 acre plot with beautiful scenery hensol lake amd hensol castle and golf course. The hotel is clean and staff were friendly and accommodating. I had to move from my initial room as it was not up to a standard youd expect from a hotel of this calibre. The rooms are abot dated and could definitely do with a refresh and upgrade"
