"FYI: They don’t tell you at the beginning when you check in but you must return all keys when you checkout or you will get charged $20 US per key. Towels are $40 US or they will charge you so make sure you count the towels and make sure to return them. We found out when we were checking out! "We stayed at Hotel Plaza Yara for 2 nights. We loved this property. The hotel staff were all so friendly and helpful. They gave us great recommendations for restaurants near by. We swam in the pool and had the free breakfast each morning which was our best breakfast on our whole Costa Rica trip. Amazing portions and service. Rooms are very spacious and clean. Felt like a home away from home. Highly recommend staying here. :)"

"I’ve stayed here before. It’s a great place, right on the beach. The studio suite was perfect. Very large and comfortable beds, s small kitchenette. Howler, capuchin, and spider monkeys visit the property all of the time. We say more monkeys at the hotel than around the parks. Only the smallest possible complaint. On the upper floor, some sort of nut or seed regularly hits the metal roof. It makes a bang. It’s not disturbing or anything, but it’s there. Don’t be surprised."
