We were not put into the room that we saw advertised online - be prepared for that and message the hotel before you book to make sure what you see is what you’re getting. It’s currently under renovation and certain rooms are much nicer than others.
About 3/4 of the hotel seems to be renovated and is very nice. We were put into the 1/4 that is still yet to be renovated, and it showed. Dark hallways to the rooms only lit by motion lights, the smell of wet paint and paint stains were in the hallways, and drywall dust was still visible. For about $350 a night CAN we did not expect this.
Room itself wasn’t terrible, had what you needed. But for the price, we were not happy. After 1 night of our 4 night stay, we asked to be switched into the room displayed online, and luckily they were available. The staff were very helpful and understanding with this.
After this, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The pool and lounge area with the ocean view on the roof is very nice! Included breakfast is always a plus. The food and drink menu the rest of the day was all excellent.
One other more minor complaint is that parking is very tricky in this location. They have a very small parking lot that doesn’t accommodate the amount of guests in the hotel. It’s a space issue and not much the hotel can do about that, but we had to park on the street a couple of times.
I would stay here again if I knew the renovations were complete and was getting what I paid for the second time.
