"I had an amazing stay! The apartment was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The view from the terrace was absolutely breathtaking. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming, making our stay even more enjoyable. One of the highlights was the two toucans that visited us in the morning. They were flying around, perching on the trees, and watching us while we relaxed on the terrace. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxing and unique getaway! "

"We loved our stay in Luxury Standard Room 209 at Tulemar. We saw squirrel monkeys daily from our balcony, and toucans, sloths, scarlet macaws, leaf-cutter ants, frogs, bats, and iguanas on the grounds also. We were at the end of our Panama/Costa Rica trip and had actually just decided to cut it short because I was starting to feel sick. But we had this last hike to try out and I was just hoping both that I would feel well enough and also that our car would be able to make it back on the very steep gravel road back from the parking spot (after almost getting stuck around Monteverde earlier on the trip). As we’ve been getting used to we were first to arrive so we had this awesome place completely to ourselves for a little while in the morning before other tourists started to drop in. It really felt like a fairytale.

"The house and property were great for our group as there is a lot of room for everyone to do their own thing. The views and quiet were amazing! So many birds! The property was fun to explore and we enjoyed starfruit and bananas we picked ourselves.The road to the house can be challenging for someone new to driving up a mountain. I highly recommend a mid to large 4 x 4 with good clearance. The property manager, Jonathan, was so great to deal with. He was very kind and considerate and promptly looked after any requests or needs we had. There are no lawn chairs or beach chairs so I bought some and sold them before we left.**NOTE: I had a very difficult incident with a woman who lives up the road from the house while on a walk. I did not trespass, stayed on the main road and was minding my own business. If you’re into hiking/walking/exploring, I would request clarification from the owner as to where one is authorized to walk**"

Absolutely Perfecto

"We had the best stay in this house. Truly, it was even more amazing than the pictures. I love that all bedrooms had their own bathrooms attached--it was perfect for sharing with another family. The views were stunning, and we had monkeys come visit us as well as toucans. We found the location to be ideal, right between Uvita and Manuel Antonio. Definitely hire Rambo for cooking. You won't be disappointed, and that was the highlight of our entire trip. Rambo, Josue and Diego were all amazing--great chefs, but also great to talk with. We looked forward to seeing them everyday. I would book this house again and again without hesitation. It was Justo Perfecto!"

Partial Ocean View, Private Pool Villa Surrounded by Rain Forest and Waterfalls

"We have stayed here in the past and enjoyed these accommodations. We had a few issues with the fridge leaking but the property manager solved them efficiently. We all enjoyed the pool as it was hot and humid making the pool very welcome. Also a short walk to a waterfall and natural pool for cooling off. A few of the small appliances are in need of updating but again no complaints."

Thoughtful Details

"Our family of five stayed here, but the house could easily accommodate 2-3 families comfortably. After excellent communication from both the owner and property manager, we were promptly greeted by the property manager, Elizabeth, upon our arrival. We appreciated how she took appropriate time to show us the necessities but was courteous of our privacy and left immediately after the brief (but thorough) tour. The photos of this place do not do it justice. It’s stunning with every detail thought of… from the pool towels to the beach towels, body boards to borrow, books, board games, laundry access, a thoughtful gift of sun products …I can’t even list all of the things. The well appointed kitchen was stocked with snacks and even pasta/sauce so we decided to whip up our own little dinner the first night after enjoying the pristine (almost private it would seem) beach. By far, the best beach we visited during our entire trip. We hope to stay here again should we make it back to the area. "

Your own house in the jungle, 5 minutes from the beach!

Amazing place

"Five of us stayed for five nights. We could not have asked for a better place to stay. The home owner supplied us with detailed instructions to get to the house and the property manager was quick to answer all of our questions.It really is a nice secluded property but close to everything we needed. Would stay again. Also, we awoke every morning to the sound of toucans in the trees."

Even better than expected!

"The house is absolutely beautiful. The view of the ocean is amazing. We really felt like we had a private villa on a private beach. We were a big group. 10 adults and 3 children. Each little family had their own room and connected bathroom. The pool area and kitchen brought everyone together while the rooms gave us our space and privacy at night. We loved being steps from the beach and enjoyed the best sunsets every night. We saw iguanas, sloths, macaws and butterflies during our stay. Jackson, who takes care of the outside property, cut us down some coconuts which was an extra treat. We highly recommend this home and would stay here again! "

Gorgeous sunsets at brand new Casa Arbol DelMar

Excellent stay in Paradise

"My husband and I just spent 28 glorious days at this property. This is our 7th trip to this area and our favorite stay so far. The casita / guest house is new, clean and very well stocked with everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable, there is also A/C if you choose, and the WIFI/Internet was strong. The location is only a short drive (maybe 5 minutes?) up the mountain from the highway. A 4 x 4 is a must. It is also a short drive to Playa Matapalo and Playa Linda. I would say the location is top notch. The exterior of the property is an experience in aromatheraply with all its wonderful plants and flowers. And although this is a guest house, with the owner residing in the main house, we had the pool to ourselves every day with great privacy (Gelena, the owner, insisted on this). And it was a bonus to have Gelena on site as she was very responsive to all our questions and provided excellent information about surrounding markets, amenities etc. The location is very safe and the bonus was having monkeys visit us frequently, as well as toucans and parrots. Highly recommend this property. "
