"This is my fourth time in Tokyo and first time staying in Ueno. Tosei Hotel Cocone Ueno Okachimachi was at a very good location, close to the JR line which made travel with 3 younger children just that bit more easy. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and accommodating to our needs. The only drawback was the washing/drying machines that always seemed to be busy, but you can check on their status through the website. The room we stayed in was clean and comfortable. We will stay again. "

"We loved the location. Don quijote and Uniqlo are right next to the building. Area is very vibrant and happening. Semsoji temple is very very near. We felt that room was too small for a family of 3. Double bed what they claim is big enough for 3 and it is clearly not. "

Location was perfect, just a 5 minute walk away from the nearest subway station and also 5 minute walk away from the bus route. It's a quiet neighborhood, with a drugstore, 24 hours supermarket and convenience stores within 5 minutes walk. Omotesando Hills & the Harajuku neighborhood were also a 15 minutes walk away or could also be reached via public transport. "

"Not impressed with service (when compared to the amazing service that you often get in most other Japanese hotels), I asked if they could help us with a cab and they said they had a charge for that help. It was a minimal (500 yen) charge but it was more about the principal for us. DIdn’t see washer/dryer which we often find in Japanese hotels (we use those often), and breakfast Buffett was not worth the money, unless you like Chinese/japanese breakfast.
