The only negative but it's actually a plus is the placement of the hotel which is far from the action but it is a good thing because its safe from the chaos. Security in the lobby around the clock which is essential in Brazil. The elevator also has a card security to which you can only go to your floor so it provides security and...

"It’s Centro Rio. Expect to see beggars and smell bad everywhere. It’s 10 min walk to metro via rundown streets. Staff were not impolite but no greetings nor happy face. Rooms are ok - very basic. "
