"This was our second stay at the King Charles and again it exceeded expectations, from the comfortable room to the excellent breakfast, friendly staff and ambience. The bar food was particularly tasty and reasonably priced, so we are looking forward to visiting again very soon!"

"This is an exceptionally good hotel, all the usual facilties, good free wifi, comfortable bed, good shower, excellent dining room and breakfasts with good choice of breakfast. Good restaurant within the hotel with reasonably priced meals. Staff very helpfull. The only downside was no mirror in the bathroom so had to use own small mirror to shave by."

"When I arrived at the hotel, sadly the car park that I'd checked on google maps was shuttered with a notice attached to use the rear. This was quite hard to find, as you have to turn down a steep left turn, then along a ropey looking high street, then take the second right, first left and then it on the right. There was no St Geroge Hotel named car park, it was the 'co-working' place next door - very confusing. Then you have to walk up some dodgy steps. Once inside the hotel was great. I only...

"Good things were that the bed was comfortable and the shower worked. However the rooms especially the floors could do with a lot more cleaning. The carpets needing shampooing and the bathroom needed bleach cleaning. There was also a bad smell in the building which was not pleasant. The receptionist was friendly which almost made up for poor quality issues "
