It is quite central for getting to Southend and surrounding areas. It's restaurant has a view directly over Southend Airport runways, which I thought was cool.

It was our second stay at The Holiday Inn Hotel in Southend and it was excellent. Easy check in, all staff were friendly and excellent service. The room was a very good size and was spotlessly clean, lovely bathroom with fabulous smelling toiletries. Everything you would need was in the room including a safe. The breakfast was excellent so much choice. Easy parking at the hotel cost £10.00 a night. I highly recommend this hotel.

I was very impressed with the hotel and the staff and would definitely stay here again. It’s a shame there is an extra charge to park but it is as easy to do this with the reception staff. The customer service was great and the rooftop restaurant and bar was great with delicious food for both the lunch and breakfast menu. A real feel good factor. I’m sure we will be back

"Exceptional Stay with Stunning Views and Outstand
"We had an exceptional one-night stay at the Holiday Inn Southend. The room was incredibly comfortable, and the reception team genuinely cared about our comfort, even giving us a courtesy call shortly after check-in to ensure everything was perfect. The views of the airport were breathtaking, especially during breakfast on the 5th floor – a truly unique experience. I can't wait to return! I booked 1 double bed since i was coming with my partner only to be given 2 single beds. Was told this was available or am free to cancel. How rude! Requested takeaway breakfast staff did not have it ready at checkout unfortunately i forgot it. They did not make an effort to hand it to us or at least remind.

Da wir morgends mit der Fähre angekommen waren, waren wir bereits früh im Hotel und konnten auch schon früh einchecken. Das gesamte Personal ist sehr , sehr zuvorkommend, aufmerksam und nett! Frühstück super, mit Blick auf den kleinen Flughafen. Die Bar abends ebenfalls klasse!

Enjoyed my stay Comfortable beds Good sized room Gym had essential machines for a good workout. Close to some shops and easy access to southend beach It even had a iron and a table for it which was great. Staff were professional, 1 suggestion It would have been lovely to have some herbal tea as a option. There was black tea and coffee. Just a reminder that a increasing number of guests my prefer a camomile, lemon or green tea after a long journey. I felt safe in the hotel and the area which as a parent it’s always a priority when booking a hotel. Thank you for the lovely hospitality
