"Very good stay in a comfortable hotel. Service was great. Couple of things - I felt the dinner menu could be a little more extensive, the check out time of 10 am is a little early. But generally a great stay. Ps I should have mentioned this at check out but the sink plug in room 102 sticks closed 😎"

"Pleasant hotel well sited and a bargain off-season. Decent car park but could do with a couple of electric chargers. Room was too small to accommodate the amount of furniture, and was so warm that even though it was never hotter than 5 degrees we had the patio door open all the time. The spa was very nice and empty due to the time of year. Staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was good. Evening meal was only ok but you can understand that out of season. "Dartington Hall is absolutely stunning, but, sadly some areas lack attention. We've stayed before, and had the same challenges... We love the place, but.... The bed (again) was like trying to sleep on Brighton beach, the decor is very tired, it could do with some tlc, but, to be fair, it a very old building, the upkeep must be astronomical.. There were no towels, we had to ask for some, Although the shower room is tiny, the water was piping hot (when it eventually comes through) and the water...

"Evening staff member was in my view not very helpful has tv didn’t work and on asking him about it he said check source button and this didn’t work and was gone before I could tell him although did eventually fix it myself hence why i dropped a star but morning crew were so amazing and friendly and can’t fault them at all- breakfast was great - "
