"The food ( dinner and breakfast) was beautifully cooked. The homely atmosphere was relaxing and friendly. The staff helpful and the room had everything you need and was clean and tidy. The pub also smile English and I appreciated that it retained that . Nice to have free parking outside the door."

"Staff were lovely and the room had a couple of extra touches I wasn’t expecting like bottles of water. The only thing that I would say tainted the stay was that I couldn’t turn the heating off in the room and with the room being small and at the top of the building, it was so, so hot. Other than that, great."

Thoughtful touches like a borrow or swap books area and a bucket & spade library for guests to use in the summer months. Breakfast was very good and freshly prepared to our exact request. Would recommend and would certainly stay again if back in Paignton. Railway station is less than 10 mins walk and the seafront less than 5 mins very central location"
