"We really enjoyed wandering around Zermatt and this hotel was nicely located for that. It was easy walking distance from the train station and close to a lot of restaurants. It is a long walk from the cable car to the ski hill. Breakfast was included. There wasn’t a lot on offer but what was there was good. The front desk staff were helpful and friendly. "We were able to check in early, which was a big plus. Plenty of parking was available. Food at the restaurant was good. Communication was a bit of a challenge, since we spoke English and the staff mostly spoke French but there was a man at the bar/restaurant who spoke English. The elevator is a bit small and the winding road to drive to the hotel was a challenge but the place is beautiful up in the mountains."

The only issue I had was on checking out, there was a hotel driver when asked if he was going to station he said no he was going to a shop, so I had to walk 11minutes to station with my luggage, when I reach 8minutes into my walk he was indeed parked by a shop…this upset me as it would have been nice to get a drop close to station as hotel did advise free...
