"Very happy with our stay but the noise from other guests at the hotel shouting outside the lobby doors that went on until 3am kept us awake so that by morning we were exhausted from lack of sleep. Surely something can be done to stop this. It spoilt our stay."

"The Lookout is a great little hotel right in Rye. If its 5* you are looking for it is not, but lovely building in reasonable condition. Huge room with terrace that was nice. Very comfortable bed with lots of soft bed linen and pillows. Bathroom was a little dated but it all worked and lots of toiletries. Breakfast was amazing. Lots of food for all tastes and you can eat what you want, all freshly cooked. Continental food was fresh and tasty. No lunch or evening food so very quiet. Shame...

"Great location, 10 minutes to Canterbury, very quiet, great staff - they couldn't do enough for us, greeted us like friends every morning. Would definitely book this place again if in the area - fabulous stay for 4 nights after a 30 hour flight from Australia. "

"A great location for walking into the centre of Canterbury. Hotel rooms are a basic and perhaps dated, but the new bar area is very nice. Restaurant closed for refurb so can’t comment on that, but with so many good non chain restaurants just 10 minute walk away it’s not an issue at all. Staff friendly and room quiet too."

"Really great place to stay if en route to the Shuttle. Welcoming staff, clean rooms, spacious with tea/coffee facilities. Shower excellent. Adjacent free parking. Only downside is the poor service area next door. OK if you like McDonalds - only offering in the evening. Even Costa closes around 1800. Good value for money though. Recommended"

"We used this hotel as a basis for our attendance at a wedding nearby. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean and the bed was very comfortable. I was slightly disappointed by the wonky window in the bathroom, which required brute strength to close. for a 3-star hotel, it was basic but still a good place to lay our heads and the staff was very friendly and helpful"
