"Stayed here over Christmas for my 40th birthday and have nothing but good things to say about them. The place was clean and beautiful and the food at the Restaurante Cocorri was phenomenal. But the most memorable part was the way they treated me when I got hurt. I tripped walking up the step and dislocated my pinky. Jeremy (I believe is the manager) drove me to the hospital himself, AND gave me cash for a ride back. ¡Excelentes hospitalidades!"

"Great stay, good selection of food for breakfast. Could use more beach chairs at the pool. Like so often people put towels to reserve them and then aren't around for hours later. Frustrating! "

"An absolutely wonderful, peaceful environment the owners have created. What an absolutely great place at a great price. Needed a spot for 2 nights before catching a tour & feel fortunate to have gotten here. Walk to the beach or rent their bikes and enjoy the tasty breakfast - pancakes were the best. "

"The staff was supposed to get back to me regarding additional reservations. I still have not heard back from them. Further, it’s very difficult to reach the front desk from an external phone. I tried to reach them because I had left my water shoes behind and wanted to let them know to keep it safely so that I can pick it up later. I found it very difficult to access the front desk phone number."

"Every year, we make it a point to visit Puerto Viejo at least once, and every time we do, we stay at Villas del Caribe. The location is unbeatable, and the nature within the property is truly special — sloths, toucans, monkeys, guatusas... it's just perfect."

"Beautiful property with amazing, large rooms. Great patio with chairs and a swing bed. Large bathroom with a great shower, water pressure and hot water! Property was amazing with lots of trails and animals. Only downside was the transportation option offered by the lodge itself was very limited - they should offer more boat transfers from the mainland. And install blackout curtains in the rooms - made it impossible to nap in the afternoons! "

"I loved the size of the villa and what the property had to offer. It was bittersweet for the location of the property. It was peaceful being out of town and sweet to be in the jungle with the wildlife but it would have been nice to be in town to be close to restaurants and the night life. "

"This hotel absolutely blew our minds. The 30 minute drive off road was very beautiful and at first made us a little nervous but quickly realized with 4 wheel drive its very easy and fun! Once we got there... We were blown away. The staff. The rooms. The food. THE PRICE. 10/10. The natural pool area to me might be one of the most beautiful places I've ever been in my entire life and literally put tears in our eyes. The amount of hiking, exploring, and outdoor activities could fill an entire week....
