"This is a historic hotel inside the city walls in Chester. It was built in 1535. The lobby pub and restaurant were unique with great atmosphere. Elderly people will have great difficulty using the steep stairs to the 3rd level rooms, but we enjoyed this hotel greatly!!"

"Good stay. Nice walk along canal to city centre, the canal is right outside reception. The bar and restaurant area are always nice in a Moxy, very cool. Nice staff. Breakfast a bit chaotic with not enough bowls, cups etc. Very dog friendly, appreciated being at the end of the corridor so no-one was walking past, which makes the dogs bark. Waitrose next door for late night snacks. Food at Moxy not great. But would stay again."

Cons: Felt like the cheapest of everything for breakfast, parking area felt a bit dark and grim behind the building, there was a really horrible...

"Broken bed and chair no bath plug dated furniture despite this staff are amazing and so helpful buses stop directly outside and at bottom of road is Sefton Park which is huge really nice place to relax also various places to eat and drink this hotel just needs updating a little "
