Many of the other days he would give us more fruit and then a lovely gift when we left. Every day he was so helpful in removing all the snow from our vehicle before we left for the ski fields. "The Niseko Ski Lodge lives up to its name--a rustic ski lodge. The staff were super friendly, and international. Upstairs rooms mostly share a bath, but we had a room with a private bath. The pre-fab bathroom was tiny and weirdly placed with a ~10" step up. Room size was good, but it was stiflingly hot with the radiator heat. "Very nice owner/hostess. This is a very clean typocal Japanese pension. Nothing fancy except the toilets, which are the high tech heated seats/bidet. Conveniently located in Hirafu village with easy ski access. "
