"The host was very personable and took care to provide information of things to do around the surrounding area. However, the road to get to the hotel from Arenal was treacherous as it was mostly uphill, lots of curves and unpaved making it difficult to navigate."

"The breakfast was really nice. They had pancakes, orange juice, eggs, toast and different kinds of fruit! They made it there so it was fresh. The reception clerk was really nice and help me book transportation to the monteverde cloud forest! She also called to see if they have any guided tours and what time! I really appreciate it. I was on the second floor it was nice in the evening to look at the sunset from the balcony! Room was basic but clean. I enjoyed my stay there. Area seem safe."

"We enjoyed our stay and the local wildlife. The hotel is in a good location, within walking distance to a bar and restaurant. The room has an exterior entrance for privacy, was large and had a mini fridge, which is appreciated. Coffee is only available in the main communal area, which is a bit inconvenient but at least it’s available. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious!"

"This was a welcome respite from the over-touristy areas I had previously traveled through in CR. Jose was wonderful and easily accessible. The property was very clean and well-maintained, had a spectacular view, and was a quick drive to the biological reserve. I only had two nights and wish I had more! I absolutely recommend this property."

Stay for the week, there is plenty to do around Arenal, do not spend hours driving that you could spend listening to the howler monkeys, watching the toucans every morning, or enjoying the oropendola living their day. "

What makes this accommodation special is the family thatt run it. Melissa is at the front desk 12 hours a day, and she speaks fluent English and is extremely helpful.
