"My stay was for one night and the hotel suited my needs perfectly. It offered good value for money and the room and bed was comfortable. The room and building could do with redecorating but that didn’t affect my stay. Check in and out was easy and staff / owner friendly and helpful. Would recommend to anyone looking for basic accommodation at value for money cost."

"This was our second time staying at The Railway Tavern Hotel and once again great value for money and very close to where we was visiting. Very friendly staff and free parking is included on their secure car park on the hotel grounds. Will be booking again next time we are in East London. "

"Good value, polite check in (including an offer to carry my bag upstairs). Room far too hot and a bedside lamp would have been a welcome addition. Entry stair carpet needs a good clean, but the room itself was clean. However for an overnight stay it was good value and I would book again."

"The layout of the room was good. Unfortunately it needed a good refurb. Carpers and seating stained. 1 small sofa for 3 people so my daughter had to sit on a stool. Facilities were good. Fridge was smelly. Heater was very noisy but as 3 heaters was able to turn the one in the bedroom off. Stank of cigarettes. But very friendly staff. Tokd tge cafe would be open but everything was closed on the Sunday. No staff to check out. Ok for 1 night."
