"All ok really- pub(aka 'hotel') bit noisy on both fri and sat evenings but not horrendous. Keycard door lock iffy- staff changed cards several times but def the DOOR LOCK- so locked out more than once. Great little town GREAT PEOPLE- excellent take-aways nearby ( no 'hotel' food)Good bathrooms- plenty coffee/tea etc. Very Good for the price- Would def use again for NEC etc.Happy thank you.."

"Nov 2024 - This is a very old pub, persevered very well and in keeping with it's original historic 656 year old design. Great food and drink selection and wonderful staff. With that in mind, it is a pub, and therefore very noisy until around 12am later at weekends. As it's old it's also very creaky, so expect to here residents walking to and from the bathroom / toilets. The rooms are what you'd expect in keeping with an old building and a little cold in winter.
